WooCommerce Advanced Shipping Tutorial | Basic + Advance Shipping Setup

[ad_1] Welcome back guys in this woocommerce tutorial my name is rana and in this video i'll show you how you can set up your shipping method in woocommerce plugin for your e-commerce website in previous video i've shown you guys how to set up woocommerce plugin the basic setting of woocommerce But in this video we look at basic and advanced shipping so before we get started if you are new to would be appreciated that being said let's get started Alright guys so let's go to the dashboard of your wordpress site and let's hover your mouse over woocommerce and let's click on settings to setup your shipping method in woocommerce plugin for your ecommerce website let's go to the shippings tab under your woocommerce settings and you Will see we have few options here so before we create a shipping zone you should understand properly what is shipping zone shipping zone basically the area where you like to sell your products with a specific rate okay for example i am from india and i have planned to sell my products only in My country and my warehouse located in my state which is punjab and for my state shipping cost would be cheaper and for the rest of the states in my country the shipping cost would be higher obviously right so i would like to create a shipping Zone for my state and rest of the states for my country because i have planned to sell my products only in my country however if you like to sell products worldwide or you like to sell products multiple countries then you have to create a shipping zone for those Countries separately okay or you can create a one shipping zone for multiple countries to do that first of all you have to go to general tab and then from here you have to select those multiple countries once you do that don't forget to click on save changes And then come back to shipping zone and from here you can create a shipping zone for multiple countries for this demo website i have selected only india because i have planned to sell products only in my country so i'm going to create two different types of shipping zone Let's go ahead click on add shipping zone first i'm going to type my zone name i'm going to type punjab below that you have to select your zone region punjab india okay then click on save changes now click on add shipping method flat rate should be selected then click on add shipping method Now hover your mouse over here and click on edit method title would be flat rate tax status should be taxable and the shipping cost for my state would be 50 rupees if you just type 50 what's gonna happen is if person going to buy one product the shipping cost would be 50 rupees if the same person going to buy multiple unit of the single product the shipping cost still going to be 50. if you don't like this you can use this formula if you hover your mouse over this question mark you can use this formula right here after your shipping cost press space Multiply space start bracket qty and bracket this would be the formula by typing this formula what's gonna happen is if the person going to buy five unit of single product the cost would be 50 into five 250 okay or if the person going to buy a single Quantity of the same product the cost would be 50 rupees only if you like this formula you can use this otherwise you can simply type 50. once you're happy with your changes then click on save changes let's go to the shipping zone so here you can see i have created shipping zone For my state let's go ahead click on add shipping zone i'm gonna type my zone name rest of the states below you have to select your region by holding down control you can select multiple states like that once you do that so i haven't selected the rest of the States i just want to show you guys how you can do that once you select the rest of the states of your country then click on save changes and then click on add shipping method flat rate should be selected then click on add shipping method let's go ahead click on edit method title Would be flat rate text status should be taxable and the shipping cost for rest of the states would be 100 rupees again i'm going to use this formula 100 rupees space multiply space start bracket qrty close bracket let's go ahead click on save changes and now come Back to shipping zone so we have created two different types of shipping zone one for my state and one for rest of the states of my country however in future if you like to sell products in different countries then you can create a shipping zone for those countries Separately to do that first of all let's go to the general so under the general tab scroll down come over here sell to specific countries here type the country name where you would like to sell products first i'm gonna type australia and next i'm going To add canada so now i have planned to sell products in australia canada and india below that i have to do the same thing australia canada and india scroll down click on save changes let's come back to shipping let's create a shipping zone let's type your zone name I'm going to type australia and then canada under the zone region i'm going to select australia and then canada then click on save changes click on add shipping method flat rate should be selected add shipping method click on edit title would be flat rate text status would be taxable and the shipping cost For those countries would be 1000 rupee space multiply space start bracket koty close bracket and then click on save changes so this is how you can create shipping zone for those countries so let's come back to shipping zone so you have seen that i have created shipping zone for my state Rest of the states of my country and i have created shipping zone for australia canada as well however my warehouse located in my state i have managed to sell product in those countries as well but shipping cost would be very high so this is how you can create a basic shipping zone for Your e-commerce website with woocommerce plug-in so let's go ahead and look at how to create a free shipping zone on your e-commerce website with woocommerce plugin for example i like to provide a free shipping only in my state then i'm going to edit my zone origin let's go ahead click on edit Here i'm going to type add shipping method this time i would go with free shipping click on add shipping method click on edit the title would be free shipping you can change if you want below that free shipping requires what so you will see few conditions here I'm gonna select a minimum order amount the minimum order amount for this free shipping would be 500 rupees okay and then click on save changes let's go back to shipping zone and let's add a free shipping for a rest of the states in my country let's go ahead edit that zone Again click on add shipping method let's change free shipping click on add shipping method click on edit title would be free shipping free shipping require select your condition again i'm gonna select minimum order amount this time i would go with 700 rupees for rest of the states the Free shipping require 700 order value then click on save changes let's come back to shipping zone if you want to add free shipping for these countries australia or canada you can do that as well let's go ahead click on edit in the same way you can add free shipping for these Countries let's go ahead click on edit minimum order amount this time minimum order value would be very very high 5 000 rupees then click on save changes click on shipping zone so you have seen we have created flat rate and free shipping so let's test our free shipping and flat Rate to do that let's visit your store and try to buy any product let's select this black hoodie let's click on add to cart the hoodie has been added to the cart let's click on view cart so you can see here so you can see here the hoodie will cost You 150 rupees the quantity is one the subtotal is 150 the shipping cost will be 100 rupees for rest of the states in my country because aryana is a selected if you want to change the address you can click over here you can change your shipping address from here let's type Something like punjab and then click on update now you can see the shipping cost would be 50 rupees for my state if you change the quantity type 5 now you can see the subtotal is now 750 the flat rate is 250 and we have also free shipping available for us okay this Is how you can create free shipping and how you can use that formula that we have created let me show you let's go to flat rate you can see this is how this formula works remember all right let's go ahead let's change our shipping address this Time i would go with australia click on update so now you can see shipping will be 5 000 rupees which is very very high let me remind you really quick let's go to australia and canada shipping zone let's go to the flat rate here you can see we added the shipping rate 1000 rupees so the quantity is 5 1000 multiply 5 would be 5 000 okay if the subtotal would be 5000 then there would be free shipping let me show you let's change something like 50 now you can see the subtotal or order value more than 5000 Now that's why you are seeing this free shipping right here so this is how this free shipping works what if you want to remove this flat rate when you are eligible for free shipping so how you can do that let's go ahead and look at the advanced shipping method for your e-commerce website Let's go to the dashboard of your wordpress site to do this thing we have to install a plugin let's go to the plugins and click on add new and come over here and search for free shipping let's go ahead and install this plugin woocommerce advanced free shipping by Geron ceremony click on install now and then click on activate once you do that let's hover your mouse over woocommerce click on settings and then go to the shipping and now you see we have another option here advanced free shipping let's go ahead click on that here we have few options First we have unable and disable make sure you enable this option or this functionality next we have hide other shipping make sure you check this option if you want to remove this right and then click on save changes once you do that let's go ahead click on Add free shipping rate here you have to type a title this would be free shipping below that you have to type your shipping settings title would be free shipping and next thing we have to add a condition if you open this up this drop down menu We have many types of conditions that we can add on our e-commerce website or our free shipping method first we have subtotal subtotal taxes tax quantity contained products coupons weights so on and so forth let's go with subtotal subtotal would be equal to or not equal to Greater or equal to or less or equal to let's go with greater or equal to greater or equal to 500 rupees let's say and then click on publish once you do that click on return to overview and let's come back to your cart page and let's change the cart value maybe Something like this type 10 10 would be enough now cart value is more than 500 rupees so here you can see we are seeing only free shipping flat rate is gone when your customer eligible for free shipping they will not see flat rate so this is how you can add This type of functionality on your e-commerce website okay let's come back to your dashboard so now i'm going to show you how you can create different types of shipping classes on your e-commerce website with woocommerce plug-in we create shipping classes for different types of product on our e-commerce website for example You are selling heavy products on your website then shipping cost would be different as well as you are selling lighter products then shipping cost would be different okay to create this type of shipping classes let's go to the shipping tab under your woocommerce settings and then click on shipping classes and Here let's click on add shipping class here you have to type your shipping class name first let's say you're selling heavy products on your website for example wooden bed and then click on save changes and then add another shipping class and now let's type your shipping class for lighter products for example Mobile phone and then click on save shipping class you can add as many classes you want according to your e-commerce website or according to the products that you are selling on your e-commerce website once you do that let's go to the store and let's open any product that you want let's go ahead Select this blue hoodie let's go ahead edit this product first when you create a new product below that you will see a shipping tab right here under the product data under this option here you will see a shipping class now by default there is no shipping class Selected if you click over here you will see you have wooden bed you have mobile phone that we have just created let's go ahead select wooden bed scroll up and click on update okay let's close this product and maybe let's delete this product from the cart page as well close this Let's open your store this time select this black hoodie edit the product scroll down under the shipping this time we will select mobile phone scroll up and click on update product however this is not a mobile phone this is black hoodie and this is not a wooden Bed this is a blue d for the demonstration purposes let's assume this is a wooden bed and this is a mobile phone okay let's close this out so under the shipping let's go to the shipping zone and now let's say you are selling wooden bed in your state then Shipping cost would be lower and if you are selling good and bad in the rest of the states then the shipping cost would be higher obviously right because your warehouse located in your state the shipping cost would be lower let's go ahead click on edit in punjab let's edit the flat rate This time remove the cost from here right click cut the cost from here let's paste the cost right here no shipping class cost would be for regular products would be 50 rupees and for wooden bed it would be 500 right and then click on save changes right You can provide wooden bed under free shipping as well but you can add different types of condition if your customer need free shipping for wooden bed you can add something like minimum order value or different types of coupons code for free shipping on wooden bed right so let's come back to shipping zone Let's add it rest of the states edit flat rate cut this thing from here paste here for normal products cost would be 100 rupees for wooden bed it would be something like 700 rupees and for mobile phones it would be 200 rupees save changes let's go to the shipping zone I forget to edit the shipping zone for mobile phone add a shipping class for mobile phones as well under my state let's go ahead click on save changes let's go back to shipping zone and whenever you create a shipping class don't forget to edit all the shipping zone Like that remove the shipping cost from here paste the shipping cost right here and on my website i don't ship wooden bed out of the country and mobile phone out of the country let's go ahead click on save changes so let's go back to shipping zone and now let's test our Wooden bed and mobile phone so blue hoodie is our wooden bed let's click on add to cart let's view the cart so you can see for this wooden bed shipping cost would be 500 rupees right if you increase the quantity again the same formula will be applied You can see right here okay so this is how this shipping class works i hope you understand you have watched this video so far don't go anywhere there are still more to learn just keep watching this video let's go ahead close this tab and now let's look at the black hoodie Which is mobile phone right now let's empty the cart from here let's add black hoodie which is right now mobile phone just click on the view cart in mobile phone the cost for my state would be 100 rupees you can see here let me show you let's go ahead and Click on edit edit flat rate you can see 100 for normal products for my state shipping cost would be 50 rupees remember okay so this is how you can create a shipping classes for your e-commerce website let's close this one as well click on shipping zone Okay so now let me show you how you can create shipping zone on your e-commerce website based on the weight of the product to do that we are going to install a plug-in let's go to the plugins and click on add new now come over here and search for flexible shipping Now install this plugin by wp desk and then click on activate and now go to shipping zone now go ahead and edit your zone where you like to add shipping zone based on the product weight let's go ahead edit this punjab zone and now click on add shipping method this time We would select flexible shipping click on add shipping method now edit this flexible shipping let's close this you can watch the tutorial if you want let's close this out the method title would be flexible shipping you can type whatever you want method description leave it blank this should be taxable or not taxable Let's go with taxable just scroll down and click on add rule and add the condition select weight let's say the product weight is 200 grams to 500 grams then cost would be 55 rupees and then click on add rule once again add weight 500 grams to 700 grams and then so if the product weight would be 500 grams to 700 grams then product cost would be 75. once you do that scroll down and click on save changes you can add as many weight as you want by clicking on add rule for the demonstration purposes I've added only two rules okay scroll up let's visit your store select the product let's edit the product now scroll down let's go to the shipping and let's change the product weight something like 350 gram and scroll up and click on update view the product by clicking over here First of all let's remove this product from here let's go ahead add the product view the cart so in my state you can see this product will cost 55 rupees because this product weight is between 300 grams to 500 grams in the same way you can create different types of shipping zone Based on the product weight so this is how you can add flexible shipping based on the product weight right and there is one more thing i like to mention if you like to sell or ship product in specific area or zip code or postcode in the country or in your state there is One thing you can do let's go ahead edit this zone punjab and in here you can limit a specific zip code or postcode click on that here you can type the zip code or postcode on each line where you like to sell or ship products okay for example i would ship only this City on this zip code or that zip code once you do that scroll down and click on save changes and now you are selling or shipping product only these cities or these zip code or only these locations by doing so you are adding some limitations to your Products okay if any case you want to do that you can do that as well let's go ahead save
